The Colour Bar believes in providing our hairstylists with ongoing hands-on training. In order for our hairstylists to perfect their skills with real people, we need hair models!

What is a hair model?

A hair model someone that wants to get their hair done and is open to come with one of our stylists in training. The hair model understands that the service may take a little longer than normal. This is because the stylist in training may perform the service little slower either because they are receiving coaching or because they may stop and get advice from the educator. Most of the time, the stylists performing the service is part of our Protege Program.

Why should I consider being a hair model?

One of the benefits of getting your hair done as a hair model is that there may be more availability. The second is that we offer 50% OFF hair services as a thank you for your time and trust.

What kind of services can I sign up for?

As long as we have availability, you can sign up for any of the following services:

• Blowouts
• Haircuts (short – long length hair)
• Color Services
• Treatments

The Colour Bar’s Protege program is an intensive learning program for newly licensed stylists or those looking to increase their skill set to become a successful stylist. The program requires a serious time commitment both during salon hours and outside. The goal of the program is to develop our team internally for The Colour Bar. We do so by accomplishing two things:

1. To take novice stylists and get them comfortable and competent as hairstylists.
2. To develop strong stylists who live by The Colour Bar values.
