Owners

Lorena

Lorena is our founder, natural born hair stylist and the face of The Colour Bar.

Lorena has a true passion for making people feel good about their hair, especially in regards to their color and hair styling. She is dedicated to making sure her clients know how to have fabulous hair all times after they leave her chair. Lorena’s color skills have come in great part from her advanced training as color educator for Davines in the Northern California area. Her hairstyling tips have also made it to TV as the beauty correspondent for Univision/Telefutura in the Northern California area. Her future plans are to become a Certified Colorist by the American Board of Certified Colorists.

Alfonso M.

Alfonso

Alfonso is the co-founder of The Colour Bar, and currently holds the fancy “professional” CEO title. He is the creative mind behind The Colour Bar’s branding, identity and website. He may not have any hair, but he does have experience in marketing, team management, business operations. Alfonso has previously worked on creating software for several Fortune 500 companies and startups. He is also the founder of Believe Media Group, a digital marketing and lead generation company.

Jennifer V.

Jennifer has a true passion for hairstyling as well as make-up! Most of her inspiration for hair comes from the fashion which is why she always stays on top of the latest fashion and hair trends.

Jennifer’s passion is hair styling behind the chair for her clients. However, she also has a competitive spirit which has motivated her to enter several hair competitions including 2012 Beacon where she obtained 1st Place and The 2012 Intercoiffure Fashion Frenzy competition in 2012 ( Canada & USA wide) which got her 3rd Place!

Jennifer’s work has also been featured in Bay Fashion Magazine and hosts a beauty segment in the local TV morning show “A Primera Hora” in Univision 19 which airs in Northern California.

Jennifer always demonstrates her passion for the beauty industry and her career as a stylist. Her main motivations to be the best are her husband and two boys whom she enjoys spending her free time. Book with Jennifer to enjoy excellent hair service with a little extra fashion talk!

Ludi D.

With a passion for inspiring confidence in others that began with styling her friend’s hair for middle school dances, Ludi has since dedicated her career to the hair styling industry. As a graduate from Paul Mitchell of Sacramento, and now with four years of styling experience, Ludi loves being able to empower her clients to feel beautiful. Spending her summers as a Wig Dresser for the California Musical Theatre has also developed her passion for working with Broadway productions. Ludi’s work has been printed in Real Wedding Magazines, as well as for the brand “Official”.

With a natural flare for dramatic hair transformations, Ludi specializes in fantasy hair coloring and balayage, and has also been deemed by her fellow stylists as a “bob expert”. In addition, she is barber trained and loves working with short hair! Ludi focuses on maintaining the integrity of client’s hair while keeping client satisfaction as her ultimate priority. Alyssa B.

Alyssa grew up playing with everybody’s hair and looking at the people and trying to figure out what their hairstylist did on them so she could do it too. Determined to begin her career as a hairstylist, she enrolled at Paul Mitchell The School Sacramento and soon after got her cosmetology license. Alyssa is our first ever stylist to enroll in The Colour Bar’s Protege Program. Alyssa enjoys doing makeup, fashion colors, and styling!

Liz N.

Liz has been in the hair industry and behind the chair, doing what she loves, since 2009. Her passion for hair began at an early age and has continued to grow over time through her experience in the industry. Her favorite things about being a hairstylist are building relationships with clients; being creative and technical in her work; and evoking positive and exciting change by transforming clients’ hair, whether by refreshing a current look or creating a new one. This brings about change in attitude, perspective and confidence. Liz believes it’s crucial for clients to feel pampered and important. Her main goal is for her clients to leave the salon feeling satisfied and happy.

Liz loves doing color, balayage, blondes, and fantasy colors(can someone say mermaid hair?). She also enjoys cutting and styling hair (long hair, pixies, curly hair, you name it). Through continued education, she stays up to date on current coloring and cutting techniques. So she can always offer the best to her clients. New to the Sacramento area, Liz is excited to be apart of The Colour Bar team and looks forward to taking care of you!

Gaby D.

Gabriela (Gaby) graduated from Paul Mitchell program at MTI in Sacramento. After working as a medic and licensed vocational nurse in the Air Force for 10+ years she decided to take a leap of faith and pursue her passion in hair and makeup, and hasn’t looked back since! Gabriela loves styling, hair painting, and a great winged liner to go with it!

Brianna A.

Receptionist Brianna

Brianna (Bri), is our morning receptionist for our East Sacramento salon. She is an growing student at Paul Mitchell The School Sacramento pursuing her passion in Cosmetology. Brianna has recently joined our team to follow her career path in the hair industry and enjoys working at The Colour Bar! Brianna enjoys that she gets to learn even more about the industry in and outside of school. If you have any questions or would like to make an appointment here, Brianna will be happy to assist you at The Colour Bar East Sacramento!

Shay G.

Receptionist Shay

Shehara (Shay) is our evening receptionist at the East Sacramento salon. She has over 5 years experience in the retail industry and brings amazing customer service skills and can speak 3 languages. She is currently studying biology at Sac State and her goal is to be an anesthesiologist in the future. When she is not spending her time at the salon or at school, she enjoys watching documentaries and old fashion black & white movies.

Erin B.

Originally from the small town, Live Oak, CA, she now makes her home at The Colour Bar. After graduating from Chico State in 2006 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, and working in management in the Bay Area, she moved to Sacramento for work in 2012. Never feeling satisfied, she made the leap of faith and committed to pursuing her passion for hair and makeup. Erin’s favorite things about being a hairstylist are educating her clients about their hair and sharing her knowledge about Davines.

Education has always been at the center of what drives Erin, always a student at heart. She is an educator working with Davines and Bassett Salon Solutions and also created and runs our Protege program, teaching our new stylists the Colour Bar’s values and techniques. She also enjoys curly hair, pixies, natural balayage, and extreme vivid looks. What she absolutely loves is vintage hair and makeup and turning everyday women into pinup bombshells.

Cameron L.

Cameron Lane Lugo has had a passion for hairstyling since he could hold a comb. Staying true to his diverse upbringing he specializes in color and texture services. His many years of experience combined with education and professional achievements from Paul Mitchell, Aveda and now Davines further affirms his drive and dedication to excellence. Cameron’s mission is to provide every guest delightfully exceptional hair care experience.

Sharon H.

Hair Stylist Sharon

Sharon has always had a passion for art. As a kid, she always loved painting, wether it was on paper or on someones face. She began the love of make up at age 12, and was the go-to make-up artist for family parties. In high school, as soon as she was allowed to color her own hair, she began to experiment on herself and soon after began getting hair requests by her friends hair and their moms too! After high school, she decided that is what she wanted to do for the rest of her life!

Sharon’s favorite hair coloring services are balayage and fantasy colors. She also has a passion for makeup and the art of blending colors. Working at The Colour Bar was a goal one of Sharon’s goals from the moment she got her license and she is beyond excited to embark on this new journey working beside driven artist!

Cassie R.

Cassie is a stylist at our Midtown location. She has always had an artistic eye, which lead to drawing and painting at a young age. She began experimenting with creative design in school leading her to her passion with hair. She enrolled with Paul Mitchell where she received her extensive education. From the beginning she excelled behind the chair and her passion burns strong to be the best for her clients. She believes that you can never stop learning in this industry and continually seeks education in new techniques and styles. She enjoys all aspects of hair, whether it is cutting, coloring, styling or makeup application. Her strengths include Balayage, Corrective Color, and Blondes, but her absolute favorite is being creative with bright, punky colors! Looking to spice things up or make a small change? Tina N.

Tina graduated Federico Beauty Institute and received her cosmetology license in 2015. She has 5+ years experience in the beauty industry as a makeup artist. With her knowledge of makeup and experience, Tina provides every one of her clients with a flawless and professional makeup service. Whether it be for weddings, formal events, birthdays or just a girls night out, Tina believes every girl deserves to look and feel their best!

Sharaya P.

Sharaya has been licensed since 2009! She attended Paul Mitchell in Washington and recently moved to California. Her mother and grandmother were also hairstylist, so she has always been around the beauty industry. When it came time to decide what she wanted to do, styling hair came naturally. Sharaya’s favorite part is building connections with clients and watching them fall in love with their hair. Her passion is to continue learning and creating hairstyles that make people feel good about themselves. Sharaya enjoys painting a beautiful balyage, giving a great cut, and styling any length of hair.

Brandy G.

Brandy is currently part The Colour Bar’s protege training program.

Her passion lives within hair, beauty and fashion. She enjoys following the new trends and is never afraid to push the envelop or think outside the box. She is dedicated and motivated to expand her knowledge and expertise for the craft. She truly enjoys bringing out the best in her clients as she believes hair is such an intimate part of who you are.

Her main motivations to be the best are her fiancee and 3 children, whom she enjoys spending her free time with.

Haley A.

Haley is our evening receptionist at our Midtown location. Haley currently attends Sacramento State as a Business Marketing Major. She is interested in all things beauty. From makeup, fashion, to lifestyle– she can’t get enough. In hopes of combining her love for both beauty and marketing, Haley aspires to be a part of a marketing team for a prestigious cosmetic company after graduating.

Kia B.

Kia is our morning receptionist at our midtown location; awaiting to enter our protege training program in May. Kia has always had a passion for cutting, coloring, and styling naturally textured hair. As a young lady she was always creating unique hairstyles on herself, friends, family, and dolls. Finally deciding to follow her passion for the beauty industry she attended Federico Beauty Institute. There she flourished; becoming a student ambassador and taking advantage of the opportunities that arose for her. Kia participated in The Roseville Hair Wars event twice. The second time her school’s team placed 2nd while competing among professionals. She has also been on two separate segments of Good Day Sacramento.

Kia loves doing makeovers and transforming clients into their best version of themselves. Coloring, cutting, styling, extensions, makeup, and fashion are where Kia finds her happiness.
