Frequently Asked Questions
We are able to provide pricing on basic services (ie haircuts, blowouts, etc), makeup services, and treatments. Even though our service prices are fixed (they do not vary on length of hair), we are not able to provide pricing on color and hair extension services. When it comes to color and extensions, there are many variables that can determine number of services required to achieve your goals. We ask new clients interested in booking a color service to come in for a complementary 15 minute consultation where you will be able to meet your stylists, talk about your hair goals, and costs.
In order for us to guarantee our services, we must first have a color consultation. Color consultations are set mainly to protect and inform the client on the process necessary to achieve the hair goals as well as the cost.
While we do ask our clients to come into the salon so we can have a face-to-face consult, we are able to make exceptions and accept an online consultation for certain services, including root touchups, and some non-lightening color services. Please note, that the stylist reserves the right to ask for a face-to-face consultation if hair tests are required.

While having the color service the same day as the consult would be ideal, we are not able to guarantee a same day color service, since our stylists are often fully booked for the day. Color services can range between 2 – 5 hours. If our stylist had a last minute cancellation following your color consultation appointment, we may be able to accommodate, but it is on a case by case basis and is not guaranteed.
Absolutely. Our stylists are trained to work on different textures of hair, but we’ll be happy to recommend a stylist based on your needs.

At The Colour Bar, our stylists are trained on a consistent basis in both technical and customer service skill. Even though we wish we could deliver results 100% of the time, we sometimes make mistakes.
